Founded in 1987 by  architect Carlo Galeazzi, the architectural and design Studio redefined the traditional Italian techniques by bringing a new and award-winning innovative perspective to naval architecture and quickly positioned itself among the most important firms in the sector

In 2004, alongside the architect Francesca Minotti,“Galeazzi and Minotti Architetti Associati” established an impressive portfolio of the most influential clients in the Yacht and Nautical Industry.

Over the years the firm has been renowned for its excellence and elegance in interior designs by creating unique, luxurious and craftmade spaces,as well as praised for its innovative and cutting edge concepts in their exterior designs.

From semi-custom to custom boats, in all sizes from 6 meters to 60 meters long, the studio has worked in collaboration with some of the most prestigious firms around including: Azimut Benetti, Cantieri di Pisa, Cantieri di Baia, Rizzardi Posillipo, Chris Craft, Spertini Alalunga, Italcraft, and others.

Many of the studio's projects have won awards and honors.

In this complex but fascinating job, there are some design guidelines which (my collegues and I follow by he rule) our team follows by the rule.

To begin with, we do a scale of values, which help us to reduce the difficulties of the project, this sequence we follow is: first Space, then Function and last but not least Form.

It is necessary to acknowledge the quality of which each project will defined by is in proportion to the  amount of innovation which has to be at the same time typological, morphologic and functional.

It is necessary to permit and make sure that there has to be contamination with the other sectors (cars, objects, interior decoration, etc) and also with the other disciplines (fashion, design, etc.).

Fundamental is also the quality of the interaction between the designer and the entrepreneur and also between the designer/planner and the technical staff of the naval shipyard.

We must bear in mind that design it is not a rational project; but it recalls memories of the past, that is an active and critical memory to recuperate the past cultures, putting them in a historical perspective which enables the actualization.

Fundamental is also to recognize the strong emotional component to relocate in the project and the importance that we have to give to the research of emotion so that it can determine the success of a boat more than other technical-practical elements.

It must be said that it is important a correct and in the deep analysis of the marketing, to hit the aim of the project. Fundamentally, the designer maintains a strong autonomy, to avoid the risk of homologation and the flattening of the project itself.
